Where nature and vision collide, that’s where the real creativity begins
Nina Albrecht
I'm Nina Albrecht, the artist behind Syster Henry. I mix Nordic nature with a modern touch to create art that encourages people to pause and look at the world in a new way.
Exploring Urban Nature with Paint and Innovation
What happens when the calm of nature meets the energy of urban life and the possibilities of technology? In my on-going project, I use AI-generated art as a starting point—purely as a reference—and transform those ideas into vibrant, expressive paintings made with oils, acrylics, and mixed media. Every piece is created by hand, blending bold textures, layers, and details to bring these concepts to life as physical, tangible works of art.
These paintings are inspired by themes of urban nature and climate change, exploring the relationship between the environments we shape and the natural world. My work reimagines how technology and traditional craftsmanship can come together to spark meaningful conversations.
Where Tradition Meets Innovation
This project is about more than just using technology—it’s about translating artificial concepts into real, human creations. I take the calculated precision of AI references and reinterpret them with brushstrokes, textures, and vibrant color palettes, creating art that feels deeply emotional and alive. The result is a collection that celebrates the beauty of nature while pushing creative boundaries.
Art with a Purpose
Sustainability and environmental awareness are at the core of my work. By transforming digital references into handcrafted paintings, I aim to inspire reflection on the impact of human progress and the potential for balance between innovation and the natural world. This project combines creativity, care, and craftsmanship to show how art can be both thought-provoking and a force for positive change.
Let’s Collaborate
Do you have an exhibition or project that could benefit from handcrafted art that bridges the worlds of nature, technology, and innovation? I’d love to collaborate and explore how we can bring these ideas to life for your audience.
GALLERY
My work has been showcased in a range of dynamic exhibitions, from intimate pop-up events to larger collective shows like Konstrundan in Helsinki. These experiences, along with collaborations with other artists, have allowed me to connect with diverse audiences and bring my art into new and exciting spaces.
